5/18/2009 near London, Ontario Cool, sunny. 34* at 7:30

Up a little early, got the rig ready to roll. Erica showed up with the twins for Nancy to keep for the morning.

We had a nice breakfast with bacon & eggs, grapefruit, toast, muffins, and coffee. Gave us plenty to go on for the day.

We said our goodbyes and departed. About 10 miles up the interstate, John caught up with us and returned a vent cap that a pine tree limb had popped off the trailer as we went under it. It's not a vital piece of gear, but certainly a desireable one.

Off we went across Michigan on I-196, I-96, I-69, and a little bit of I-94 before getting to the Bluewater Bridge at Port Huron MI and Sarnia ON. There wasn't too much traffic entering Canada, mainly RVs and trucks. The customs guy asked a few questions and admitted us.

Then off across the great flat thing known as southwestern Ontario. Flatter than a flounder. Hwy 402 leads to 401 and seven miles later we exited to the London KOA. We checked in, then dumped the tanks, then went to Site 42. The site is level left-to-right, but remaining hooked up left the nose of the trailer a little high. I tried to crank up the back legs to compensate and nearly got it level - close enough, anyway.

We settled in and cranked up the wifi to exchange emails, download files, post blogs, and so forth.

I read for a bit (a book I found in South Haven), then came out to do these computer writings.

Now we'll settle in....
