5/22/2009 White River Junction, VT

5/22/2009 White River Junction VT Cool, warm, cool.

Up, breakfast, into Chateaugay NY to the town clerk's office. I chatted there with the clerk and a friend about whether or how to find my ancestor's grave. They didn't have much to offer beyond what I found yesterday. Town records only go back to 1847.

So we went on to the above location (WRJ hereafter). We set up (with some difficulty due to trees and rocks) and called D's sister. We agreed to meet in the late afternoon. We relaxed until then.

We went to their place on the NH side of the Connecticut River and chatted for a while before going out to dinner at a nice little family style place. We sat and talked for a long while, then returned to their place. But we cut out for the trailer before we got into a longer discussion. We'll meet tomorrow early afternoon to go together to visit D's niece (Mary's daughter) some 35 miles north of here.

Someplace I lost my set of trailer keys. We'll find a hardware store tomorrow and make duplicates from D's set.

Lots of people piled into this campground today for the weekend. Quiet tonight, but I wonder about tomorrow.

We'll see.....
