5/24/2009 White River Junction VT Wet but cleared and became sunny and almost warm.
We hopped up, ate, and scurried to Mary's house to follow them to church in Lebanon NH. Afterward, we came back to the trailer to pick up our forgotten cell phone & back to Mary's again.
Then the four of us had a breakfast sandwich and coffee at Jake's Deli and Car Wash (quite good), and toured to Lake Sunapee NH to people-watch. Lots of folks were putting boats into the water or taking them out, so that activity absorbed us for a while. Lots of people and dogs, including a huge St Bernard.
A float-plane taxied into the beach and tied up while the pilot and his son went for something to eat. Later, they taxied out and took off. The dinner cruise ship was about to depart when we departed to eat a light dinner at Peter Christain's in New London, NH. We chatted all the while.
On the way back we stopped at a grocery and happened to see a hot-air balloon with several passengers going past, quite low. The airport is just down the road, so they may have just taken off.
On to their house, where we begged off on an invitation to come up for coffee, said our thanks and goodbyes and left them. We returned to the trailer to relax and prep for moving tomorrow.
We spoke with Susan and Bill today, both sound well.
